Very pleased to find this site. I use a Panasonic FZ7 converted to IR by MaxMax, Hoya R72 filter and am very pleased with the results. I've shot in Egypt, Jordan and Japan with it this year and have revived my use of b&w as a result, even resorting to converting to Piezography with good printing results. I've experimented with "dumbing down" the photos to make them more like film, but since Konica was a favorite IR film as it was not too extreme, I'll probably settle on a similar printing technique, not adding much grain and glow in Photoshop, if any.

Wish there was a digital Noblex 150 to use as I love the IR panoramics it produces, but that's pretty specialized.

Have also experimented a little with the Leica M8 and it works well but I don't need to fiddle with it for IR as the Panasonic does very nicely and is oh so simple to use when you're on the road a lot.

I've done a lot of reading about digital IR in the past few months and find your book extremely comprehensive and useful so I'll recommend it with enthusiasm to all who are curious and want to get into this area.

So, if you're in NYC let's have lunch sometime.
